Diwali at Casa dei Bambini
On Friday, November 16th we celebrated Diwali at Casa dei Bambini.
Diwali is India’s most important holiday of the year. It is as important to Hindu families. The “Festival of Lights” (which occurs over the course of five days) symbolizes the inner light that protects from spiritual darkness. This special holiday occurs every autumn. Over the centuries, Diwali has become a national festival that is celebrated by most Indians, regardless of their faith, and most accurately represents the victory of good over evil.
The children experienced the culture of India, delicious food and beauty of this amazing country.
They learned how to wear a Sari and saw the traditional Kathak dance performed was an unforgettable experience for all of us.
